| "This topic may cause some people to raise their eyebrows. 'When did Baba become an evangelist?' I picture someone asking this question already. There is nothing wrong with Jesus. Unfortunately, he has been presented as a kill-joy. The evangelists have made it even worse by constantly collecting money from people by planting guilt in them. To me, it appears that Jesus must have been a fun guy simply because he had become a non-conformist to tradition. |
| He cleaned up the meat-market business at the temple and taught during the Sabbath. In an attempt to protect Mary Magdalene, who was being stoned by the mob, Jesus acted like the forerunner of Sigmund Freud. Jesus knew that everyone in their hearts were committing adultery and other forms of sexual gymnastics. And, therefore, they had no moral authority to throw stones at Mary Magdalene. |
| The story of Mary Magdalene parallels the story of President Clinton's romance with Monica. History repeats itself. I am not going to be concerned anymore with gossip, although there is nothing quite as relaxing and interesting as tabloid journalism. Scandals give us everlasting joy. But in this article, I am concerned with the everlasting life that Jesus was interested in. I kind of like both gossip and God. Gossip gives juice to earthly life, and God gives you everlasting life. |
| Coming back to the blood of Jesus. Historically, it is true that the blood sacrifice often leads to liberation. The beheading of the English and French kings led to the democratic reforms in England and France. This is true of other countries as well. It is a literal truth that Jesus' blood redeemed humanity. |
| Many people have difficulty in understanding terms like 'sin, redemption, salvation and eternal life.' I don't blame those people because no one has given a convincing explanation of these terms. Sin is embodied existence. In my own terminology, sin is the 'meat-body.' Jesus is a great ritualist. He knew the value of rituals. Through rituals, you can change the world – your relationships, your finances, and even your meat-body. When Jesus' parents took him to the temple, they sacrificed two pigeons for the God. Later on, Jesus argued that there was no need for animal sacrifices anymore because he was going to do a human sacrifice by dying on the cross. The blood of Christ did, indeed, clean up all the human souls. But we have to catch up with the cleansing of the body and mind. I will talk about it later. |
| Apparently, Jesus didn't like the violence of the blood sacrifice. He came up with a pleasant substitute ritual. He knew that wine could substitute for blood, since both items represent the juice of life. Participating in the Eucharist and drinking the wine is an uplifting way to remember Christ. Prayer during this occasion is immensely powerful. I strongly encourage people who are going to church to participate in the Eucharist." |
