Removing Karma

Baba Sri Siva Speaks:

“Today, it's already 12:30 pm. I am hungry since I didn't have my breakfast. But, there was the urge that I should write this piece.

If I don't do it (which is what the devil or negative consciousness likes), I will not get this knowledge to you. I want to give you a timetable of what I did today. I took care of the rent and food bill of a family who needed help. Then, I wrote the article 'Valentine Problems.' I don't do anything until God permits it to happen.

That's why I don't have a book out yet. Maybe that's what I am doing through the newsletter!!

Next, a woman called me and said, 'Today I am off. I want to do some service for you.' I told her the best service that she could do for me is to buy food for the needy or buy a car tire for someone who doesn't have the money to replace his tire, and, as a result he can't go to work. I told her that if every human being does something genuinely helpful for his or her fellow citizen, we can create a peaceful world. She listened to me and went out to look for some beggars to feed.

Then, I wanted to help someone who needed a cataract surgery, but this person didn't have the money. I wanted to call this man, but my eyes could not read his telephone number. It's not that my eyes need repair (I need glasses to read and that's the only problem). And it was not that I couldn't read the number because I didn't have glasses on. Of course, I can read telephone numbers without glasses. Nevertheless, the numbers kept fading.

I had an inner voice telling me: 'Don't give him the vision unless you want to hurt your vision.' I perfectly understood what the voice was implying. This guy deserved it, and why do you want to mess with his karma?

I entered into a dialogue with my inner self. I said, 'Look, I came here to remove the karma of people and educate them about karma. I must do my duty - my mission. However, I don't want to lose my vision.'

Then I found a transfer technique through a vision of the Goddess Sarasvathi who elected to absorb the karma. I am writing this to you in order to teach the karma dynamics that goes on.

I want you to understand that taking on karma of others is not a desirable job. Don't think it's a great thing to be a guru. You are indeed one of the following:

A laundromat dedicated exclusively for dirty, dirty clothes. A janitor in a public building in a third world country. A garbage can exclusively dedicated for rotten eggs and meat.

Socrates, Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Kennedy, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr. - all of them absorbed other people's karma and paid for it with their lives.

Money can be a substitute for paying for one's karma. You need to pay a lot of money to the guru in order for him to receive your karma. This is the reason why I refuse to collect large sums of money from people. I have a bunch of them standing in line saying, 'Here's my money. Take it.' I say, 'No, thanks.'

If you want to help someone, buy them my Karma Busting CD and encourage them to play it, even as just 'background sound'."
