Why God Is Not Responding To You

Baba Sri Siva Speaks:

“It’s because you don’t believe in God. You may say to yourself you believe in God. But, the truth is you believe only in your ego and in the world. You either think about yourself, which is your ego-self, or about the world. God is not the priority in this dark age. That’s why there is so much suffering and agony.

Jesus kept on saying, ‘Believe me, and my name can do everything for you.’ Let us be honest. How many people really believe in the name of Jesus and its ability to accomplish things for you? You may say, ‘I have prayed in Jesus’s name many times, but nothing has happened.’

All that I can tell you is that there is nothing greater than God’s name. But you must naturally believe and emotionally be able to related to the divine name that you call on for help.

For instance, if you are a devout Christian, you may not be able to call on Allah/Buddha/Siva. I have been able to perform miracles in the lives of individuals who trusted me totally. But there are others who claim that they are following me, but they are only following themselves. Jesus said, ‘Love me,’ but how many people really do love Jesus?

Hinduism recommends three paths to God: karma yoga, jnana yoga and bhakti yoga.

Karma yoga is the path of action. You do your work in this world, but while doing so be established in God. What this means is that you do everything as a sacrifice for the divine and not for the satisfaction of your ego.

Jnana yoga is the elite approach to enlightenment: you are not into a personal God and worship, but understand God as superconsciousness and want to attain that level through meditation and energy.

Bhakti yoga is pure devotion to the Guru or God. In my opinion, bhakti yoga is the supreme path to God realization. But, remember there is no water-tight compartmentalization schema for the paths. You can move from one to another freely.

The most important thing is staying at the Feet of the Lord."
